Report Format (Output Menu)

Select this command to format the output report and to select additional stream and unit operations' properties to be printed in the report. You are also allowed to select the dimensional units in which these results must be reported.

Note that if you require the results of a simulation that already has solved in a different format, you only have to redefine the output format and need not execute the simulation again.

Usage

The Define Format command displays a sub-menu that contains the following items:

Units of Measure (UOM)

Select this item to choose the desired dimensional units in which the selected stream and units' properties should be reported. You can default the units to be the same as the input units, select a new set from the UOM list, or selectively edit the existing units.

Miscellaneous Data

Select this item to set the page size for printing, or to select various other choices. For example, this dialog box allows users to include the input data summary (or selected parts of it), an overall mass balance report, and other additional information. Additionally, users may scale all the flowsheet data, simply by specifying the flow rate of a single stream. (There are exceptions to this in certain situations.)

Stream Properties

Select this item to choose the basis in which the flowrate and/or composition of the streams should be reported. You can also select the options to print a standard stream physical property summary, kinematic viscosity output temperature, selected stream property tables and the TBP, ASTM distillation reports where applicable.

Unit Operations

Select this item to specify additional results output from unit operations in the simulation.
