Use this window to define the structure of polymer segments and to specify how polymer components are constructed from these segments.
Usage
From the Component Selection Main Window, push the Polymer button.
Polymer Segments
You must supply a Segment Name of up to 16 characters for each of the segments that you wish to define. van Krevelen Structures must be defined for each polymer segment. Press the Enter Data button in order to define the structure in the Define Van Krevelen Structures Window.
UNIFAC Structures are optional unless you have selected the UNIFAC Free Volume method in the Thermodynamics Main Window when they must be supplied. Press the Enter Data button in order to define the structure in the Define UNIFAC Structures Window.
Polymer Components
You must supply a Component Name of up to 16 characters for each of the components that you wish to define. You must also supply an Average Molecular Weight for each component.
The Segment Composition of each component is specified in terms of previously defined Polymer Segments in the Segment Composition Window which is opened by pressing the Enter Data button.
