OK, OK to PFD, Cancel, and Cancel to PFD Buttons

These buttons are used to close a window after saving or discarding the data entries made in that window.

OK Button

Saves the data entries that were made in the current window (and any of its child windows) by storing the data in the database files for the flowsheet. When this window is brought up the next time, the values will be the same as they were when the window was closed.

OK to PFD Button

Avoids multiple clicks on OK button of the parent windows and saves the data entries that were made in the current window, child windows, and parent windows by storing the data in the database files in a single click. All the changes that are made in the window stack are retained during the revisit.

Cancel Button

Discards the data entries that were made in the current window and any of its child windows. The data in the flowsheet database files are not updated.

Cancel to PFD Button

Avoids multiple clicks on Cancel button of the parent windows and discards the data entries that were made in the current window, parent windows, and child windows. Data in the flowsheet database files is not updated.

Note: By default, if there is no Required data entry field displayed in a Window, the Help Topic for the OK and Cancel buttons is displayed if the Help button is pushed. To display the Help for other data entry fields etc., click the right mouse button in the desired field, or on the desired radio-button, or push-button. Then either push the Help button or press the F1 key to display the Help Topic.

Note: If the OK button is selected in a child window and then the Cancel button is selected in its parent window, the data entered in both the child and parent windows are discarded.

Note: OK to PFD and Cancel to PFD buttons are available on the windows that have one or more parent windows.
