Stream Property Table - General Information
The stream property table utility is a convenient tool to view the composition and properties of selected process flowsheet streams present in the simulation. It displays a list of streams and its composition/properties in a tabular, easy to read form, which can be very useful while reviewing the simulation results after the flowsheet calculations have been performed. The overall mass balance of the flowsheet can be viewed at a glance by including the source and sink streams of the flowsheet in the stream property table. Individual streams can be easily checked to see whether they meet any requirements regarding composition or property values. Also, this table allows the flexibility of exporting its data to external spreadsheet software. See Export command under File menu for more details.
Property List
The stream properties to be displayed can be selected by first creating a Property List using the Property List command in the Options Menu. When this command is selected, the Define Property List Window is displayed, where you can select the required stream properties as well as determine the order in which they should be displayed. You can create any number of property lists and assign different lists for every stream property table you select. If you request stream composition properties like weight fraction, liquid volume percentage, etc., the corresponding values for all the components in the stream will be displayed. Many stream properties, including TBP and D86 curves, are available to be included in the user-defined property lists. Recently, some newly added stream properties like Volume Average Boiling Point, Weight Average Boiling Point, Latent Heat, Liquid Ionic Strength etc., are available to be included in the user-defined property lists. Learn more about creating a stream property list.
PRO/II provides several standard property lists. These include the Short Property list, Material Balance list, Stream Summary list, the Dry Stream Summary list, and the Component Molar Rates list. Additional standard lists are the Property Label list, the Gas Report list, the Chemical Report list, the Dry Refinery Report list, the Wet Refinery Report list, and the Free Water Properties list.
These lists are provided for convenience and can be modified if required.
Component Groups
When requesting the stream composition values, instead of displaying data for each component of the stream, you can collect certain components into a group and display the overall property values for the group. Creating groups reduces the size of the stream property table, and can enhance its readability when there are a large number of components in the streams. See Stream Property Table Component Groups for more details.
