Stream Property Lists

Use this window to create property lists which can be used by a Stream Property Table to display stream properties. A Stream Property Table can be added to the flowsheet just like any other unit operation by selecting the Stream Properties button from the Unit Operations Palette.

 

Usage

 

From the Define Property List window you can create new property lists or edit existing lists. You can also reorder the property entries in a list and change the format in which the property values appear.

 

Property List

Select the property list you want to view or edit from the drop-down list box. The properties contained in the selected list will be displayed in the Selected Properties box.

 

New Button

To create a new property list, push this button. The Create New List window will be displayed, in which you can give a name to the new list.

 

Delete Button

Push this button to delete the current property list whose contents are displayed in the Selected Properties box.

 

Save Button

Push this button to save the changes that have been made for the current property list.

 

Save As Button

Push this button to save the current property list under a new name.

 

Define Properties

You can add, delete and reorder properties for the current property list selected in the Property List box as follows:

 

To Add Properties

Select the desired properties to be added from the Available Properties list and push the Insert button. The selected properties are then displayed in the Selected Properties list. You can enter a description for the selected property through the Description field. You can also specify how the property value should appear in the stream property table by entering its format in the Format field.

 

To delete properties

Select the desired properties to be deleted from the Selected Properties list and push the Delete button.

 

To delete all the properties

Push the Clear button.

 

To reorder the entries in the list

Select the entries to be moved and use the List Reordering Buttons (Up, Down, Top, Bottom).

 

To replace the current description and format

Select the desired property and enter its new description and format. Push the Replace button to change the existing entry to the new values. The syntax of the format descriptors follows C/C++ programming language conventions.
