Thermodynamics - Special Property Data Entry

This window is used to enter data for the currently selected thermodynamic system for refinery inspection properties and user-defined special properties. The exceptions are when the User-Formula stream method is selected and data are entered in the User Formula Data Entry Window, or when the selected property is Kinematic Viscosity, in which case data are entered in the Kinematic Viscosity Data Entry Window.

Usage

From the Thermodynamics - Main Window, select (highlight) the system for which modifications are to be made in the Defined Systems list box.

Push the Modify button to transfer to the Thermodynamic Data - Modification Window and press the Refinery Inspection Properties or User-Defined Special Properties button as appropriate to open the Thermodynamic Method Selection for Refinery Inspection Properties Window or the Thermodynamic Method Selection for User-Defined Special Properties Window.

Select the required property and its calculation options and then press the Enter Data button. Note that this button is only made available if the selected Method allows data entry.

Global values for this property are entered in the Component Data Entry for Refinery Inspection and User-Defined Special Properties Window or in the Assay Data Entry for Refinery Inspection and User-Defined Special Properties Window. Data entered here will override global data for this thermodynamic system.

Check the Supply ... data for Thermodynamic System ... box to confirm that you want to enter data and to enable the rest of this window.

You may enter either a Data or an Index value for each component. You need not supply data for all components. If the Index column is not available, it means that Index methods are not applicable for this property.

The Reference Index Data box is enabled if the Stream method selected for this property on the Thermodynamic Method Selection for Refinery Inspection Properties Window or the Thermodynamic Method Selection for User-Defined Special Properties Window is Index or User-Index. If the Stream Method is Summation, the box will be enabled when a value is entered in the Index column.

The Reference Index Data information is required for the Index method or if you enter any data in the Index column of the table. The following default data are available:
