Unit operations work differently. While in a data entry field, activate the Define dialog and navigate to the Parameter window. Tag is available in the Constant/Stream/Unit/Tag: field. See Using Tag Data for Unit Operations for details.
Description
This window is used to specify that the value for a data field should be read from the Tag List rather than directly from the data entry field. To satisfy the data requirements, navigate to this window and select an item from the list displayed in the Tag Name field. Search fields are present to aid in finding a specific tag. Press the OK button to complete the dialog.
Usage
To specify that a tag is to be used, select the Use Tag as Estimate box and select a Tag Name from the list. When you return to the data entry window, the name of the selected tag will be shown in the input field. If you then deselect this box, the name will be removed.
When the window is entered, the names of all relevant tags in the simulation are shown in the Tag Name list. When you select (highlight) a tag, its description is shown in the Description box beside the list.
Search
You may restrict the tag names that appear in the Tag Name list by using the search feature. If you enter one or more characters in the Starting Search String field, the Search button becomes available. Press the button to restrict the list to tags with names that start with the specified characters.
Similarly, you may use the Ending Search String field to list tags having names ending with a specified string. You may also search for tags with both a specified starting and ending string. Removing the search strings from both fields restores the Tag Name list to again show all the tag names.
