Tag Modification

Access

To open this window:

Select Tag Data on the Input menu, or

$image\tag.gif$ Press the Input Tagdata button on the Toolbar.

Description

The Tag Modification window allows you to add, modify and delete Tag Data. Tag data consists of the tag name, value and an optional description.

Usage

When the window is entered, the names of all tags in the simulation are shown in the Tag List. The data for the selected (highlighted) tag are shown in the Tag Information below.

You may restrict the tag names that appear in the list by using the search feature. If you enter one or more characters in the Starting Search String field, the Search button becomes available. Press the button restricts the list to tags with names that start with the specified characters.

Similarly, use the Ending Search String field to list tag names ending with a specified string. You may also search for tags with both a specified starting and ending string. When you remove the search strings from both fields, the Tag List again shows all the tag names.

Add Regular Tag

Press this button to open the Tag Data Window to create a new regular tag.

Add External Tag

Press this button to open the External Tag Data Window to create a new external tag using data retrieved from a Data Server. See Import Tag Data for more information.

Modify Tag

Press this button to open the Tag Data Window or External Tag Data Window to modify the data for the tag selected in the Tag List.

Delete Tag

Press this button to delete the tag selected in the Tag List.
