From the File menu,
Go to Import Tag Data group and then choose either From File (to import a tag data file) or From Server (to connect to a data server and download tag data).
Tag Data From Files
When this command is selected, the Import Tag Data window appears.
In the Files of type drop-down list box you may select either the default, a reconciled data file (*.adj), or an unreconciled data file (*.raw).Data in tag data files may be characterized by the suffix used in the file name (*.adj, *.tdf, *.dat, or *.raw). See Tag Data Files for details.
In the File name field, either enter the required file name or browse for a file.
When the Open button on the Import Tag Data window is pushed, the Tag Data are read in from the file. Values for existing Tags will be updated. New Tags in the file will be added to the tag list for this simulation.
Tag Data from a Database Server
PRO/II may access data from database historians using this import feature. However, data cannot be transferred from PRO/II back to the database server. Refer to About Tag Data Servers for more information.
When this command is selected, the Server Connect window appears. This window controls the selection of the desired server, the server type and the time slice. This window does not actually select which Tags are used in the flowsheet. That is done in the Tag Modification Window through the Add External Tag button.
Here you must select the Source Type from the list of supported data servers. Next, enter the Server in the Select Server drop-down list box, and set the Time Slice Start and End Times. Checking the Attempt to Connect to the Server box will allow you to proceed with data collection.
