Use this window to view the objective function for the regression. The function is the equation used to sum the difference between the calculated values and the supplied data. You may also override the default convergence controls in this window.
There is a default objective function equation for each combination of Regression Type and Data Type (if applicable) specified in the General Definition Window. You may select a different Objective Function Number from the drop-down list and the corresponding equation is displayed below.
Iterations: The maximum number of iterations before the regression is terminated defaults to 50.
Tolerance: Solution is reached when the summation of objective functions is less than this value. Default is 1.0E-6.
How to get to this window
The PRO/II - Data Regression Objective Function window is accessed by pressing the Objective Function button on the Data Regression Main Window.
