Property Library Manager Main Window
Use this window to build a customized library containing data banks of pure component data as well as unary and binary thermodynamic parameters. There are two parts to this process. First, you select components which are to be written to external Library Manger data files. These files are then built into a user library. See Property Library Manager - Technical Information for more details on the procedure.
Create External LibManager Files
The Available Components list contains the names of all components selected in the Component Selection Main Window. This list may include components from the SimSci data banks as well as user defined components. Add the required components to the Selected Components list by clicking on the names in the Available Components list and pushing the Add button. You may select all the components by pushing the Add All button.
You may remove individual components by clicking on them in the Selected Components list and pushing the Remove button. Pushing the Remove All button removes all the components from the list.
When the Selected Components list is complete, push the Create Files button to save the data. A separate data file is created for each selected component with the name xxxx.DAT, where xxxx is the component identifier (ID name). A standard Save As window opens for each file so that you can specify where it is to be saved.
Create User Component Library
In order to create a user component library from the created files, check the Create USER Component Library box. This opens a File Open window where you select the Library Manager driver file. The driver file defaults to USER.DAT and contains details of how data banks are to be created within the user library and what information is contained within each. It should not be confused with the .DAT files containing component data.
If an existing driver file is opened, the information in it is displayed in the window. For a new driver file, a single default Data Bank will appear in the list.
To add, delete or rename a Data Bank, click on the name in the list and press the Enter or Ins key to open the Library Manager Data Bank Manipulation Window. You may also delete a bank by selecting it and then pressing the Del key
The Include in Data Bank list shows the component data files within the selected Data Bank. The Available Files list shows all component data files in the same directory as the driver file. Add or remove files for the selected data bank using the Add, Add All, Remove and Remove All buttons.
When all Data Banks have been specified, push the Create USER Data Library button to create the user library in the current directory. This also creates or updates the driver file. To use the newly generated user library in PRO/II simulation, the user needs to register the user library with Thermo Data Manager. This can be done by pushing the Thermo Data Manager button.
The driver file is also updated when OK is pressed to close this window.
How to get to this window
