Henry's Law Window

This window is used to designate components as solute components and compute their VLE with Henry's Law Note: PRO/II supports the use of Henry’s Law only when using a Liquid Activity Method.

Usage

From the Thermodynamic System - Modification Window, push the Enter Data button by the property method for which property-specific data are to be accessed.

From the Thermodynamic Property Modification Window, push the Enter Data button corresponding to Data Item "Henry's Law".

Select the check box to designate that Henry's law is to be used for VLE calculations for solute components.

Databank Search Order

Press this button to open the Thermo Databank Search Window where you select the order in which the databanks will be searched for Henry’s Law data.

Solute Components

On first entering this window, the Solute Components table will contain the names of all components which would default to solutes - i.e. components with critical temperatures below 400 K. The Available Components list contains the names of all other components in the simulation.

To explicitly designate a component in the Available Components list as a solute, select (highlight) the component in the list box and push the Add button. The component will appear in the Solute Components table.

To undesignate a component as a solute, select the component row in the Solute Components table and push the Remove button.

Henry’s Constant data

If you wish to enter Henry’s Constant data for a solute, press the Enter Data button beside the component to open the Thermodynamics - Henry’s Constant Data Window.

See "Henry's Law" in Chapter 2, Volume 1 of  the PRO/II Reference Manual for more information.
