Thermodynamics - Databank Search

For many of the property methods, databanks containing relevant parameters are provided by SIMSCI or by the user. A priority order for retrieving parameters from multiple databanks is established with this screen. When no databanks are nominated, or a parameter cannot be located in the databanks for a particular component, PRO/II estimates a value for the parameter whenever this is possible.

Usage

From the Thermodynamic System - Modification Window, push the Enter Data... push-button under the heading Property-specific Data that corresponds to the desired property.

From the Thermodynamic Data Window, push the Enter Data... button that corresponds to the description titled Databank Search Order.

Click Thermo Data Manager.. to view Thermo Data Manager dialog box.

$image\BULLET.gif$ The databanks in the current search order are listed in the Current Search Order list box.

To add a databank to the current search order, highlight it in the Databanks list box and push the appropriate button, Insert Before or Insert After. The databank will be inserted before or after the databank which is highlighted in the Current Search Order list box. See Adding Databanks Using LibManager to add databanks to the library for inclusion in the list.

To remove a databank from the search order, highlight it in the Current Search Order list box and push the Remove button. Note: No databanks are searched when all databanks are removed from the Current Search Order list box.

To restore the default search order, push the Restore Default button.

Additional Information

The SimSci LIBMGR program may be used to prepare user databanks.
