Heating/Cooling Curve Main Window
This window is used to select the process flowsheet streams, and/or the unit operations whose internal streams are to be evaluated. A maximum of 99 curves may be defined within any single heating/cooling curve module.
Selection of Streams and Units
This window contains two tables, one for selecting process streams and the other for selecting unit operations. Appropriate windows are displayed as needed for entering the specifications for process streams and unit operations' internal streams evaluation data. One type of curve can be generated for the stream or unit selected in each row. You can select a stream or a unit multiple times to obtain different types of curves. To add or delete rows from these tables, use the Cut and Insert buttons. See Editing Tabular Data for more details.
To enter Stream Evaluation Data, select the desired process stream(s) from the drop down list boxes in the stream table, and push the corresponding Enter Data buttons.
Similarly, from the unit operations table, select the desired unit(s) in the units' list (you can select flash, heat exchanger and column units only) and push the corresponding Enter Data button to enter the unit operations' internal stream(s) evaluation data.
Report Additional Stream Properties button
For all the curves requested in each heating/cooling curve module, you can request the calculation of additional properties for the liquids and vapors at every flash calculation point. You select the desired properties using the Additional Stream Properties Window, which is displayed when this button is pushed.
To generate plots for the calculated curves, select Output\Generate Plot command. To export the plot data to other spreadsheet-compatible applications, see Plot Overview.
