Condenser Fixed Temperature
The temperature must be defined for Subcooled, Fixed Temperature condensers. This temperature must be below the bubble point temperature for the column overhead product or an error condition will be signaled by PRO/II.
Additional Information
The fixed temperature condenser option corresponds to many actual column operations, where the column overhead product is condensed and subcooled by exchange with cooling water or some other cooling medium.
Use of the fixed temperature option has a stabilizing influence on refinery columns in which water is condensed and decanted at the condenser, since the water decant is a direct function of the temperature of the condenser.
