Use this window to locate components in lists of components. The lists include all components in any of the data banks in the databank search order. Available databanks include the SIMSCI and PROCESS databanks that are installed with PRO/II , as well as any user-defined databanks that are properly registered for use in PRO/II .
Choose a Component Family to produce a smaller list of applicable components. The list of component families includes all available user-defined databanks. Once selected, a family list may be searched for a particular chemical formula, component name, or partial name to further narrow the choices.
Usage
From the Component Selection Main Window, push the Select from Lists button.
Select (highlight) the family to be searched in the Component Family drop down list box. See Component Families for more details.
Choose the search criteria by selecting the radio buttons in the Sort/Search and Match lists. Enter the desired search string in the input box provided and push the Search button to initiate a search of the highlighted family. See Component Sort/Search Criteria for more details on searching.
Components displayed in the drop down list box meet the search criteria. Actions may be performed by pushing the appropriate buttons as follows:
Add Components
Highlighted components are transferred to the Additions to Component List.
Remove Components
Highlighted components are removed from the Additions to Component List.

Components that remain in the Additions to Component List are transferred to the bottom of the Selected Component Name/Alias and Databank Search Order List when this window is exited using the OK button. Pressing the Cancel button discards any selection and exits the window.
Additional Information
Each component may only be selected one time when building the Additions to Component List. To use a component more than once in the Selected Components List, perform the following steps:
1. Select the component from the appropriate family and transfer it to the Additions to Component List. Return to the Component Selection Main Window and add the component to the Selected Components List.
2. Rename the component in the Selected Components List.
3. Repeat step (1) to add a second copy of the component to the Selected Components List. Optionally repeat step 2 to assign a different identifier to this (second) instance of the component.
