Polymer Properties - Distribution Function Data

Use this window to supply the various distribution functions to be used in the polymerization processes for polymer components. These data are available to simulate polymer reaction processes.

Usage

From the Distribution Functions for Components Window, select a component and a Kinetic option and then push the Enter Data button.

Distribution Name

You may select any, or all, of the four available distribution function names in separate rows in the table. If Discrete Molecular Distribution is selected, you must push the Enter Data button to enter the values in the Molecular Weight Distribution Window. For the other distributions, Additional Data are optional.

Moments

By default, the M0, M1 and M2 moments are expected for all distribution functions except the Discrete Molecular Distribution. You may change this selection to specify between 1 and 5 moments. Push the Enter Data button to open the Polymer Properties - Rename Moments Window if you wish to change the moment names from the defaults of M0, M1, etc.

See Editing Tabular Data for further information on tabular data entry.
