Batch Distillation - Additional Global Stop Criterion
Use this window to define a condition that stops the calculation of all active policy segments. Unless "the next policy segment to be executed" is defined, the unit simulation terminates when the condition is met.
Usage
Select a condition, enter its value, and select where it is to be evaluated.
Criterion
Select Temperature, Amount, or Purity; then enter the corresponding value for the condition to be met.
Evaluated As
Select where the condition is to be evaluated. Only the options applicable to the selected condition will be available. This is illustrated in the following figure..
Component Selection
Pressing this button displays the Batch Distillation - Component Selection window, which is used to select the first and last component in the range for the condition. If the Criterion is Amount, all components are included by default. If Purity is selected, the component range must be supplied.
Approached From
This option allows specifying that the condition is to be met only if approached from above or below. The default is to stop when it is approached from either direction.
Continue with policy segment
If a policy segment is selected here, it starts execution when this condition is met. Otherwise, the batch still simulation terminates. All sequential policy segment identifiers are available in the list. If the required segment has not yet been defined, you will need to ’r;OK’ out to the Batch Distillation Main Window, add the new policy segment to the Operating Policy Table, and return to this window.
To change the dimensional units used for entering data, use the Unit of Measure Selection Window by pressing the UOM button.
