Assay Stream Cutpoint Set Selection

This window is used to specify the TBP Cutpoint set to use for generation of pseudocomponents for an assay stream. Unless an assay stream is excluded from the blend, its pseudocomponents are averaged with the pseudocomponents for all other included assay streams using the same TBP Cutpoint Set. See Assay Stream Blending Options for more information.

Usage

From the Stream Data Window, select the Petroleum Assay option, then push the Flowrate and Assay button.

From the Petroleum Assay Stream Window, select the highlighted text which describes the selected cutpoint set.

Select the desired Pseudocomponent Definition Option. When the Secondary Cutpoint Set option is checked, the desired secondary set may be selected in the drop-down list box.

A new secondary cutpoint set may be created by checking the option Separately Defined Blend using Primary Cutpoint Set and providing a name in the space provided. Note that the name must be unique from all other secondary cutpoint set names. Any cutpoint set that was created in this manner for a previous stream may also be selected from the drop-down list box. The cutpoint ranges for the Primary cutpoint set are used for sets defined in this manner.

Additional Information

The terms "Cutpoint set" and "blend" are really synonyms, since a blend of components is produced for each cutpoint set. Thus, similar composition assay streams which may be represented with the same blend components should be assigned the same Cutpoint set.
