Binary Parameters from Mutual Solubility Data

This window is used to enter mutual solubility data for binary pairs from which interaction parameters may be derived for the specified Liquid Activity Method. In Data Regression, these derived interaction parameters may be used as initial estimates for the regression.

Usage

From the Thermodynamics - Binary Interaction Parameters Window, push the Mutual Solubilities button. In data regression, push the Enter Data button for Binary Mutual Solubility Data in the Data Regression Initial Estimates Window.

Note: Check the box to specify that mutual solubility data will be supplied.

Components

Select the i and j components from the drop down list. Selecting the components makes the rest of the column available.

Temperature

Enter the temperature, in the units specified in the Temperature UOM, at which the solubility data for this binary pair were measured.

Fractions

Enter the fraction of component i in the j phase and the amount of component j in the i phase at the specified temperature. The basis for the fraction is specified in the Basis Fraction.

See Editing Tabular Data for more information on the entry and editing of tabular data.
