Binary Parameters from Azeotropic Data
This window is used to enter azeotropic data for binary pairs from which interaction parameters may be derived for the specified Liquid Activity Method. In Data Regression, these derived interaction parameters may be used as initial estimates for the regression.
Usage
From the Thermodynamics - Binary Interaction Parameters Window, push the Azeotropic Data button. In data regression, push the Enter Data button for Binary Azeotropic Data in the Data Regression Initial Estimates Window.
Note: Check the box to specify that azeotropic data will be supplied.
Components
Select the i and j components from the drop down list. Selecting the components makes the rest of the column available.
Temperature
Enter the temperature, in the units specified in the Temperature UOM, at which the azeotrope for this binary pair was measured.
Pressure
Enter the pressure, in the units specified in the Pressure UOM, at which the azeotrope for this binary pair was measured.
Fraction of i at Azeotrope
Enter the fraction if component i which is present at the azeotropic concentration. The basis for the fraction is specified in the Basis Fraction.
