Overall Pressure Specification
The top tray pressure and a single pressure drop entry are used to supply all tray pressures.
Usage
From the Column Main Window, push the Pressure Profile Button.
From the Column Pressure Profile window, select the Overall Pressure Specification Mode.
Supply the top tray pressure in the field provided. Note that for columns with condensers this is the tray two pressure, for columns without condensers this is the tray one pressure.
Select the desired Overall Pressure Drop option in the Column Pressure Profile Window and supply the pressure drop per tray or overall column pressure drop in the corresponding data entry field.
When the pressure drop per tray is supplied, the tray pressures are determined by successively adding this value to each tray below the top tray until the bottom tray is reached.
When the overall pressure drop is provided, the bottom tray pressure is computed by adding this value to the top tray pressure. Intermediate tray pressures are determined using linear interpolation.
When no pressure drop entry is supplied all tray pressures are set to the top tray pressure.
