Policy Segment Start When
Define the condition for starting a policy segment.
Usage
Conditions
Select the condition to start the segment from:
Time: Defines the time when the policy segment is started in terms of the total elapsed time since the beginning of the batch cycle. Note that this is the simulated batch time and not elapsed computer time.
Temperature: The segment will start when the a specified temperature is reached in the reactor.
Fraction, Percent, Amount: Specify that the segment will start when there is a given fraction, percent or amount of specified component(s) in the reactor. Press the Enter Data button to open the Start When Component Specification Window.
Approach
You may specify that a Temperature, Amount, Percent or Fraction condition is only met if approached from above or below. The default is to start the segment when it is approached from either side.
The dimensional units for entries may be changed from the units shown on the screen by using the Unit of Measure Selection Window which is displayed when the UOM button is pushed.
