The actions described here apply to components selected (highlighted) in the Component Name/Alias Databank Search Order list box of the Component Selection Main Window. The actions apply only to the selected components, and not to the list as a whole (unless all components are selected). Each action is initiated by pressing a button from either the Reorder List or the Edit List group boxes.
Usage
First, select (highlight) a component in the Component Name/Alias Databank Search Order list box. The Rename action is limited to one component at a time. All other action buttons support multiple component selection.
Reorder List Buttons
To reorder the selected components in the list, use the following buttons:
Top Move the selection to the top of the list.
Up Move the selection upward one position.
Down Move the selection downward one position.
Bottom Move the selection to the bottom of the list.
NBP Reorder the components in increasing order of NBP.
MW Reorder the components in increasing order of MW.
Internal Order Reorder the components to PRO/II internal order.
Edit List Buttons
Push the desired button in the Edit List group box:
Delete The highlighted component is removed from the simulation component list.
Rename An alias (descriptive name) may be supplied for the component in the window provided. The new name must be unique from all other component names in the simulation component list. Note: Rename modifies only a single component at a time. When multiple components are selected, only the last one selected is assigned the alias.
Databank Users may change the Databank Search Order for one selected component by clicking this button. It also works for more than one component when all the selected components already have the same search order.
When one or more selected components have different search order, a message dialog appears and offers the option of resetting all the components to the global default order. Clicking ”Yes” opens the Databank Search Order window that allows changing the default search order. Placing a check mark in the option "Specify Databank Search Order for Selected Components ..." applies the new search order only to the highlighted components.
The outline of the Databank button turns blue when the components change to a custom search order. The button outline turns green when the selected components change to the default order.
