Unit Property Lists (Options Menu)

Use this window to create property lists that can be used by a Unit Property Table to display unit properties. A Unit Property Table can be added to the flowsheet in exactly the same manner as any other unit operation; simply select the Unit Properties button from the Unit Operations Palette.

Usage

From the Define Unit Property List window you can create new property lists or edit existing lists. You can also reorder the property entries in a list and change the format in which the property values appear.

Unit Type

From the drop-down list box, select the type of unit operation for which you want to create or edit a property list. Once you have selected the Unit Type, the Property List button becomes active.

Property List

Select the property list you want to view or edit from the drop-down list box. The properties contained in the selected list will be displayed in the Selected Properties box.

New Button

To create a new property list, push this button. The New List window will be displayed, in which you can give a name to the new list.

Delete Button

Push this button to delete the current property list whose contents are displayed in the Selected Properties box.

Save Button

Push this button to save the changes that have been made for the current property list.

Save As Button

Push this button to save the current property list under a new name.

Define Properties

You can add, delete, and reorder properties for the property list selected in the Property List box as follows:

$image\EDIT03.gif$ To add properties, select the desired properties to be added from the Available Properties list and push the Insert button. The selected properties are displayed in the Selected Properties list. You may enter a description for the selected property through the Description field. You may also specify how the property value should appear in the Unit PropertyTable by entering its format in the Format field.

$image\EDIT03.gif$ To delete properties, select the desired properties in the Selected Properties list and push the Delete button.

$image\EDIT03.gif$ To delete all the properties, push the Clear button.

$image\EDIT03.gif$ To reorder the entries in the list, select the entries to be moved and use the List Reordering Buttons (Up, Down, Top, Bottom).

$image\EDIT03.gif$ To replace the current description and format, select the desired property and enter its new description and format. Push the Replace button to change the existing entry to the new values. The syntax of the format descriptors follows C/C++ programming language conventions.
