Tray Type Data

Various Valve/Cap/Sieve Data are entered in these fields for the Type of tray selected in the Column Tray Rating Window.

Number per Tray

The number of valves or bubble caps per tray. When this entry is not given, it is estimated based on standard configurations. This entry does not apply to sieve trays.

Diameter

The diameter of the valve, sieve hole, or bubble cap. Allowable sizes are:

Wall Thickness

The wall thickness of the valves. Allowable sizes are given in the drop-down list box. This does not apply to sieve trays or bubble cap trays.

Spacing

The outside to outside spacing for bubble caps. If not given, spacing defaults to 1.0 inch or 25.4 millimeters. This does not apply to valve trays and sieve trays.

Construction Materials

Valve construction material is selected from the drop-down list box. This does not apply to sieve trays or bubble cap trays.

Sieve Holes Area

The total effective area of the sieve holes given as a percentage of the active area. The default is 12.0 percent. This does not apply to valve trays and bubble cap trays.
