Scale Stream Flowrate
This window is used to scale the flowrate of a selected product stream. PRO/II then scales all other streams and most of the unit operations in the flowsheet accordingly. However, the following unit operations are not scaled by PRO/II, and this window is not available when these units are present in the flowsheet.
Usage
From the "Report Format" command in the Output menu, select the "Miscellaneous Data" item. From the Miscellaneous Report Options Window, select the Product Stream Scaling button to display this window.
To begin the scaling operation, select the Scale Stream Flowrate.
Scaling Specification
Stream Name
Select the stream, which is to be scaled from the drop-down list box.
Selection of Components
You have the option of scaling all the components in the stream or only a selected range of components. If a range of components is to be scaled, you must supply the starting and ending components for that range.
Rate
Supply the flowrate to which the stream is to be scaled. The rate can be specified in molar, weight, liquid volume, or gas volume basis. To change the rate unit or basis, push the UOM button on the Toolbar to display the Unit-Of-Measure Selection Window, where you can select the basis and the appropriate units for the flowrate.
