Pump Pressure Rise

Pressure rise specifies the amount by which the outlet pressure of the pump exceeds the inlet pressure. In the case of multiple inlet streams, the inlet pressure is taken to be the lowest pressure of all the feed streams. Negative values are not allowed for pressure rise.

Usage

Supply a specific value in the data entry field for the pressure rise. You may change the dimensional unit of the pressure rise using the Unit-Of-Measure Selection Window, which is displayed when the UOM button is pushed.

Alternatively, instead of entering a value for the pressure rise, the numeric value may be referenced using the Define system relative to any available unit operation or stream parameter calculated elsewhere in the simulation. See Pump Parameters Available for Cross-Referencing for more details.
