Vapor composition data may be used to improve the initial estimate for highly non-ideal distillation columns. These data are seldom needed for refinery columns.
Usage
From the Column Main Window, push the Initial Estimate button.
From the Column Initial Estimates Window, push the Vapor Composition button.
Enter the estimated component vapor mole fractions for desired trays with the table provided. Tray numbers are entered in the top row of the table. Components are selected using the drop-down lists and vapor mole fractions are entered in horizontal rows, under the tray numbers.

Additional Information
If you wish, you can override all or part of the estimate data provided by the initial estimate generation method. Vapor mole fraction data are determined by linear interpolation for trays that are bracketed by estimates.
It is good practice to supply compositions at several trays over the range of the column for highly non-ideal applications. Minimum suggested locations are the condenser, the feed tray, and the reboiler.
