Boiling Pot Reactor Data
Use this window to specify boiling pot reactor data and limits.
Usage
Tolerances
The solution criteria for the reactor may be changed from their default values.
Broyden Trials
Specify the number of trials before the Jacobian matrix is updated and the derivative step size multiplier.
Liquid Volume
If the Fixed Volume thermal specification is not selected on the Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor Main Window, the maximum liquid volume and an estimate for the initial volume may be defined
Temperatures
An initial outlet temperature and the minimum and maximum temperatures allowed for the reactor calculations may be entered if the Fixed Duty thermal specification is selected on the Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor Main Window.
Product Estimates button
Push this button to display the Reactor Product Estimates Window where you may supply estimates for the amount of components in the reaction product.
Catalysts button
Push this button to display the Reactor Catalytic Components Window where you may define the amounts of any catalysts. This is only available if the catalyst components have been allocated a zero stoichiometric coefficient in the Reaction Data - Reaction Components Window and the reaction order has been set to one in the Reaction Data - Reaction Order and Activity Phase Window , the Unit Reaction Order Window or the Reaction Order and Activity Phase Window.
How to get to this window
The Boiling Pot Reactor Data window is accessed by pressing the Reactor Data button on the Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor Main Window when the Boiling Pot reactor type is selected.
