BATCHFRAC Calculation Options

Specific information pertaining to the Solver is entered in this window. Newton’s Method is used in solving the algorithm.

Usage

Integration Step size in Seconds: Initial time step size used by the integration method (in seconds). This value is automatically adjusted by the integrator. (Default=1.0)

Maximum Integration Step size in Seconds: Maximum time step size used by the integration method (in seconds). This value is upper bound for step size by the integrator. The default value of 1.0E+6 means no control. A problem that does not solve with default time step may solve by giving small maximum time steps.

Maximum Total Reflux Iterations: Maximum number of total reflux iterations. Default=100

Total Reflux Tolerance: Total reflux algorithm tolerance. Default=10E-4

Integration Tolerance: Integration error tolerance used to control the integration step size. Default=1.0E-4

Maximum Variables Converged by Broyden Method: Maximum number of variables converged by the Broyden method in the outside loop. Default=200

Maximum Inner Loop Iterations: Maximum number of inside loop iterations. Default=25

Maximum Outer Loop Iterations: Maximum number of outside loop iterations. Default=100

Inner Loop Tolerance: Distillation algorithm inside loop tolerance. Default=1.0E-6

Outer Loop Tolerance: Distillation algorithm outside loop tolerance. Default=1.0E-5

Maximum Number of Integration Steps per Policy: Maximum number of integration steps per operation step. Default=2000

Stop Calculations when a Dry Stage is found: Stops calculations when a Dry Stage is found. Default=ON
