Column Insert/Remove Trays

This window is used to insert/remove tray(s) at desired location in the column.

Insert Trays

Select the trays (by selecting the check box against the tray numbers) above/below which the new trays are to be inserted and click on Insert Trays button to insert the trays.

Trays cannot be inserted above tray 1 (condenser) or below last tray (Reboiler).

Above/Below Tray

Select the appropriate option to be insert the trays above or below the selected trays.

Number of Trays

Type in the number of trays to be inserted above/below each selected tray.

Remove Trays

Select the trays (by selecting the check box against the tray numbers) to be removed and click on remove trays button to remove the trays.

Trays cannot be removed in below conditions:

First and last tray cannot be removed
Trays with feeds, products, duties or pumparounds cannot be removed
An entire column trayed or packed Hydraulics section cannot be removed
An entire column trayed section with a Reaction set cannot be removed
