Water Property Calculations
Three options are available for the water properties:
Vapor-Liquid Saturation Values
Steam tables are used which correspond only to saturated liquid and vapor conditions. Superheating and subcooling are ignored, so all water properties correspond to saturated conditions.
Steam Tables
The full steam tables are used throughout all phase ranges, including superheating of water vapor. Also, water liquid subcooling is taken into account when computing the water properties.
International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam - Industrial Formulation 1997 steam tables are used for the property calculations.
IF97 method can be used for calculating the following properties of water and steam:
µ | Dynamic viscosity |
ν | Kinematic viscosity |
σ | Surface tension |
Also, the user can select "User Library methods for water properties calculation" check box to use the library methods to calculate the above properties.
