Reboiler Duty

The reboiler duty is entered in this field. The dimensional unit may be changed by using the Unit-Of-Measure Selection Window, which is displayed when the UOM button is pushed. For columns in which the reboiler duty is computed to satisfy a performance specification, any value supplied is used as an estimate.

Alternately, instead of entering a value for the duty, the numeric value may be referenced using the Define system relative to any available unit operation or stream parameter calculated elsewhere in the flowsheet.

Additional Information

For most columns in which the reboiler duty is computed to meet a performance specification, it is not necessary to provide an estimated value.
