Problem Description (Input menu)

The information supplied in this window appears as part of the heading on each page of the results printout, except for problem description, which appears only on the first page of the printout. All the entries in this window are optional.

Usage

You can specify the problem descriptive information globally for all the simulation problems, as well as for an individual problem. Individual problem descriptive information overrides the global default information. This information is entered via the appropriate windows that are accessible from the Main Window as follows:

Global Selection : "Options \ Simulation Defaults \ Problem Description" menu item

Problem Specific : "Input \ Problem Description" menu item (or) image\PROBDESC.gif button

The description fields in this window are:

Project Description

Unique identifier which describes the project. The description can be up to 12 characters long.

Problem Identifier

Unique identifier for a specific problem. The identifier can be up to 12 characters long.

User Name

Name of the person performing the simulation.

Simulation date. This parameter allows slashes, so the date may appear in the form "01/20/1993". PRO/II reads and reports the date from the computer system if this parameter is omitted.

Site

This field allows for the entry of a site identifier. Neither it is used by PRO/II nor does it appear in the output report.
