Individual Recycle Loop Data

This window is used to override the default values for tolerances, acceleration options and the maximum number of iterations for an individual recycle loop. The options selected in this window will apply only to the loop whose data is contained in this window.

Usage

From the Main Window toolbar, push the image\RECYCBUT.gif button to display the Problem Recycle Convergence and Acceleration Options Window. From this window push the User Specified Recycle Loops button to display the User Specified Recycle Loops Window. Finally push the Enter Data... button for the recycle loop you wish to enter data to display this window.

Initially, all the entries in this window are filled with the problem default selections as entered in the Recycle Convergence and Acceleration Options Window. You have the choice to override these default entries and to select different set of options for this recycle loop.

Number of Trials

You can modify the maximum number of trials (iterations) that can be performed while solving the recycle loop. If the solution is not reached within this limit, a warning message will be displayed in the output report.

Recycle Stream Convergence Tolerance

If you desire to modify the tolerances for component, temperature and pressure parameters for the selected recycle loop, enter the appropriate values. You can specify the tolerance either on an Absolute or Relative basis. You can also change the threshold composition above which a component must be considered for convergence calculations.

Acceleration Options

Change the default Acceleration Method if required. You may also change the number of initial iterations after which the acceleration should be applied. If you choose Wegstein Acceleration method, you may also specify the number of recycle iterations between application of the recycle acceleration techniques, and the upper and lower Wegstein acceleration factor.
