Rigorous Heat Exchanger - Calculation Type

Select the way you want the unit to be calculated. Depending on your selection, the unit calculates different parameters:

Fixed Duty	Tube and shell outlet temperatures Area required using the defined fouling resistance Overall fouling resistance required using the defined area

Shell Outlet Temperature	Duty Tube outlet exit temperature Overall fouling resistance required using the defined area Area required using the defined fouling resistance
Shell Side Temperature change	Duty Shell and Tube outlet temperatures Overall fouling resistance required using the defined area Area required using the defined fouling resistance
Tube Side Temperature change	Duty Shell and Tube outlet temperatures Overall fouling resistance required using the defined area Area required using the defined fouling resistance
Shell Outlet Liquid Fraction	Duty Shell and Tube outlet temperatures Overall fouling resistance required using the defined area Area required using the defined fouling resistance

If you select Fixed Duty, Tube Outlet Temperature, Shell Outlet Temperature, Shell Side Temperature change, Tube Side Temperature change, Shell Outlet Liquid Fraction, or Tube Outlet Liquid Fraction, you must then enter a value for that parameter or relate it to another flowsheet parameter using the Define system.
