Define - Definition
This window is used to select the unit operation or stream whose operating condition or result is being referenced by another unit operation elsewhere in the flowsheet. You also have the option of selecting constant values for either or both these parameters.
Usage
This window is used for selecting a unit operation or stream whose parameter is required for the following two operations:
1. To "Define" a unit operation parameter, click on the required data input field and push the Define button on the Toolbar.
2. To retrieve a unit operation or stream parameter for use within a Calculator Procedure, click on the "Calculator parameter" text in the Calculator Main Window parameter table.
For either of these operations, the following steps describe the process for retrieving the required value:
1. To begin the unit operation or stream parameter selection, check the "Set up Definition for ..." option. Similarly, to cancel the "Defined" state of a parameter, deselect this option.
2. By default, the defined parameter will be set equal to a single reference parameter. To specify an expression, click on the "=" sign and select from the list.
3. Click on the "Parameter" text to open the Define - Parameter Window in order to select the reference parameter. After a selection is made, the "Parameter" text will be replaced by a text describing the selected parameter.
4. If you have specified an expression, click on the second "Parameter" text in order to select the other reference parameter.
5. Push the OK button to confirm the "Define" operation.
