Data Input Status

The PRO/II Graphical User Interface uses colors to distinguish the status of input data, as follows:

Required Entry of data or an action is required by the user to complete the simulation input. Without a valid entry, the simulation data is incomplete and an error message will be displayed when you attempt to execute the problem. The default color used to indicate this status is Red.

Default Default data and/or action(s) are provided by PRO/II. You may override them if desirable. The default color used to indicate this status is Green.

User Supplied Data which you have supplied for the simulation. This can be a required type which has been satisfied, an overridden default data type, or extra information supplied via an optional data type. The default color used to indicate this status is Blue.

Optional Data which is not explicitly required by PRO/II for its execution. This includes data such as initial estimates used for recycle streams, etc. The default color to indicate this status is Black.

Caution Data values which are outside limits for that specific data item are indicated using a default color of Yellow.

Unavailable The data item or entry field is unavailable for any input. The default color used to indicate this status is Gray.
