On Options menu, click Simulation Defaults, and then click Controller/MVC Calculation Options. The SIMSCI - Global Default for Controller and MVC Calculation Options window appears.
On this window, you can set the global default calculation options for Controller and MVC that are going to be used for different simulation scenarios.
Note: You can override the default options at the individual unit operation level by using the keyword or by making the required changes on GUI.
Controller Calculation Options:
When minimum or maximum limits are reached, by default, Controller is set to Fail Unit and Continue Calculations if Limits are Reached. You can change it to the following if required:
Fail Unit and Stop Calculations if Limits are Reached
Accept as Solved if Limits are Reached
MVC Calculation Options
When a variable value exceeds the defined limits or the calculated values for the specifications are not met, by default, Fail Unit and Continue Calculations if Limits are Reached option is selected. It allows the MVC to use the best cycle as a solution and to continue the calculations.
You can change the default option to any of the following if required:
Fail Unit and Stop Calculations if Limits are Reached
Accept as Solved if Limits are Reached
